Project Overview
Keyshel Interiors was appointed to deliver a comprehensive commercial interior fit-out and HVAC installation for Helix, a Hines company, at the prestigious Grainhouse development in Covent Garden, London.
Situated in the heart of London’s West End, Grainhouse is a landmark redevelopment that has transformed five historic buildings into a modern commercial destination. Originally home to a 19th-century seed merchant’s warehouse, the development carefully combines the building’s industrial heritage with contemporary architecture, creating premium office, retail and hospitality spaces.
The project formed part of Helix’s relocation from Mayfair to its new headquarters at Grainhouse, transforming a two-storey unit originally intended for retail use into a sophisticated, functional office environment for the company’s property management and support teams.
The Works
Working to a demanding eight-week programme, Keyshel Interiors delivered a £1 million commercial fit-out, transforming the existing space into a modern workplace designed around the operational requirements of Helix.
Our scope included the interior fit-out and installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, helping create a comfortable, practical and professional working environment.
The completed offices combine contemporary design with the character of the original building, incorporating open-plan working areas, meeting rooms, collaborative spaces and staff facilities. The interior design makes effective use of the building’s distinctive architecture, balancing modern workplace requirements with its industrial heritage.
Delivering a project of this scale within just eight weeks required careful planning, efficient project management and close coordination between the various trades. With both interior construction and mechanical services forming part of our works, maintaining programme efficiency and quality throughout was essential.
The Result
The completed project provided Helix with a new London headquarters, bringing its property management and support teams together in a modern, purpose-designed commercial workspace.
Combining the character of a historic Covent Garden building with the functionality expected of a contemporary office, the finished environment demonstrates how thoughtful commercial refurbishment can transform an existing property into a high-quality workplace.
